FACULTY ORIENTATION MARKS THE START OF SUMMER A 2025 AT KUV HUE

On May 8th, 2025, the KUV Hue Center hosted its faculty orientation meeting to officially launch the Summer A 2025 academic term. The event welcomed both returning and new lecturers, setting the tone for a successful semester through meaningful engagement and essential academic updates.
During the session, representatives from KUV introduced the semester’s academic programs and emphasized the importance of instructional quality and student-centered teaching. Key topics included the Master Syllabus, which standardizes learning outcomes, course structure, and assessments across all courses. Lecturers were guided on how to align their individual syllabi with this framework to ensure consistency and academic integrity.

Faculty also received an overview of the university’s online library resources, which provide access to a wide range of digital academic materials, including e-books, journals, and databases. They were encouraged to integrate these tools into their courses to enhance the student learning experience.
The orientation highlighted the use of Ultra Blackboard, KUV’s official Learning Management System (LMS), as the primary platform for course delivery. Training was provided to help lecturers navigate its features, including content sharing, assignment management, grading, and communication with students.

In addition, the meeting addressed the roles, rights, and responsibilities of faculty members. Topics such as teaching expectations, academic integrity, communication protocols, and timely syllabus submission were covered to ensure alignment with institutional standards.
The session concluded with an open Q&A, giving lecturers the opportunity to raise questions and share feedback on course planning, scheduling, and student support. All concerns were addressed, reinforcing the university’s commitment to building a collaborative and supportive academic environment.
This orientation reflects KUV Hue Center’s dedication to academic excellence, faculty development, and student success as the Summer A 2025 semester gets underway.
